Welcome to Academic Programs

"To the committed Christian, the knowledge of and a relationship with Jesus pervades all experience.  So as one also pursues learning, one comes to understand how Christ and His teachings, as well as the practice and profession of the Christian faith, inform and advance human understanding.  Therefore, to be committed to both faith and learning means paying more than lip service to Christianity by exploring how the reality of Jesus Christ directs believers no matter what their disciplines or circumstances may be.” ~Joe Sarnowski,  Chair for the Department of English, September 2008

The faculty at San Diego Christian College invites you to explore the elements that come together to create the dynamic learning community that is SDCC.    It is a community grounded in the truth of God’s Word and developed around active learning partnerships between faculty and students. Each degree program is built on the foundation of a Christian worldview and structured around a core of general education competencies. Programs are designed to provide a balance between theory and practice, nurturing knowledge and skills that will prepare graduates for the world beyond SDCC. Service learning and internship opportunities encourage students to apply their learning as they respond to the call on their lives to serve Christ in all things. With a student-faculty ratio of 11-1, SDCC faculty have the opportunity to speak directly into the lives of students. As one professor put it “we are intentional every day about investing in the whole student—heart, mind, and soul.
