FAQ

How do I know SDCC received my resume?

You will receive a system-generated response indicating that your online application was received. Please check you Junk folder, in case it inadvertently deposited in your Junk folder.

What happens after I apply?

If the hiring manager is interested in moving your application forward in the process, you will be contacted to schedule an interview.

If you do not hear from SDCC, we are either still in the process of screening candidates, the recruitment is on hold, or a decision was made to move forward with a different candidate.

Do I need to submit a separate application for every position?

No.  However, please indicate which positions you are interested in on the one application, and we will forward the same application to multiple hiring managers. If some time has lapsed since you first applied, please resend your application indicating which new position you’d like to apply to. If it has been more than 6 months since you applied, a best practice is to update your application and resume with any current info that demonstrates your recent, additional accomplishments.

How will I know the status of my application?

If the hiring manager is interested in moving your application forward in the process, you will be contacted to schedule an interview.

If you do not hear from SDCC, we are either still in the process of screening candidates, the recruitment is on hold, or a decision was made to move forward with a different candidate.

I was interviewed. What happens next?

You will be contacted by SDCC regarding the outcome of your interview; either you will be moving forward in the process or you will be notified that another candidate was selected to move forward in the process.  You are welcome to contact us at hr@sdcc.edu to request an update.

How can I contact SDC with questions?

TESTIMONIALS

“I am excited to drive to campus each day because I know that I will be met with opportunities to minister to students in the classroom, via email and during office visits.  I also know that I can walk into any office and find answers, encouragement and prayer.  I have never had a life experience like the one I am having at SDCC.”

— Chair, Department of Business

“I believe that great people do not do great things. God does great things through surrendered people. I am so very blessed to come to work every day surrounded by colleagues who believe this as well and who have dedicated their lives surrendered to the Lord and to serving students. I am thankful to spend my time at an institution that shares my insatiable desire to develop young men and women who will impact the world for Christ as we help them find their calling, pursue their passions, and create vision for their lives.”
