The Department of History and Social Science

The degree program in History/Social Science examines the structure, history, and management of human societies. A special effort is made to relate each society to the biblical principles and concepts of the historical Judeo-Christian tradition. The department also seeks to guide the student into professional channels whereby one may contribute to and administer principles and policies that regulate human affairs.

Department Alumni Reception is Saturday, February 12 @ 10 a.m. to noon. It will be held at Jon DePriest's house in Santee. Address is 8568 Paseo Ladera. Confirmed attendees include Dr. Charles McDowell, Kathy King, Nali Hilderman, Fred Blackburn, Steve Whitten, Jennifer Ewing, Sam Sgroi, Leigh Wimberly, Jason Farley, Thomas Lowery, Cassandra Walker, Paul Bishop, Karl Golemo (probable). Both Matt Krause and Bob Gallina (history alums and members of the SDCC Board of Trustees) will be around for the weekend, but not at the reception. There are others that will swing by, I have not heard from them officially. If you are an alum, please join the party.
