Student Rights and Responsibilities

Student Rights

• All policies should be respectful of both the student's privacy and dignity.
• Each student has the right to understand the health care policies and procedures offered at the College.
• The student's health record is confidential. However, the goal of the College is to maintain a balance between the rights of the individual and the priority of community protection when warranted.

Student Responsibilities

• Each student has a responsibility to provide his personal health history to the College during the admission/ registration process.
• Each student is asked to report any time he is seen at a medical facility for urgent or inpatient treatment.
• Each student is expected to follow the prescribed plan of care for his illness.
• Each student is expected to take responsibility for any financial charges that may be incurred through either the Health Center or off-site health care facilities.
• Each student is expected to report any care, which is not in keeping with the mission statement.
