Interdisciplinary Studies Option
The degree program in Interdisciplinary Studies allows the student to tailor an academic program that is more eclectic and focused toward the student’s career-specific interests.
Students are required to select a primary area and a secondary area as the building blocks for their program. They will take at least 24 credit hours in the primary area, 12 credit hours of which must be upper division. Eighteen credit hours are to be taken in a secondary area, 9 credit hours of which must be upper division.
Students select the courses to be included in their program from the course offerings available at SDCC. They are selected to meet the objectives for the student’s program as identified by the student and approved by an academic advisor and by the Registrar.
