Toastmasters @ SDCC

Toastmasters International is the world’s leading organization devoted to the improvement and development of individual leadership and communication skills. Nearly three million men and women have benefited from Toastmasters training.

Members have the opportunity to learn and practice techniques of effective public speaking in a friendly and supportive environment.

Meetings are structured in three parts - Impromptu Speaking, Prepared Speeches, and Evaluations. This format allows for well-rounded speaking education, as well as instant constructive feedback.

Our step-by-step manuals guide members through all aspects of speaking - from speech construction to language. Introductory speech manuals lay out the building blocks of an effective speech and advanced manuals allow the speaker to hone particular styles and skills.
