DJ Johnston writes, "I am blessed to be married to my wife Nikki for 8 years now. We have a 3 year old boy named Nathaniel and a 10 month old girl named Ruby. My brother Bryan and I (class of 1996) planted Tides Church in Lake Elsinore, CA in 2004 with our closest friends and family, and have been growing the church ever since. I serve as the Worship Pastor and get to lead over 400 of God's children in worship every week! It's an incredible life. God is truly good."  (Fall '07)

Jan (Keasling) Burden is the mother of three girls, ages 9, 6 & 4, as well as a private voice and piano teacher. (Spring '09)

Sapphira (Kwa) Pixler has been married to Greg for 4 years. They welcomed their first child, Addysen MacKenzie  Jan. 2007. They have 4 dogs as well. Sapphira received her MBA/JD from the University of the Pacific after she graduated from college. She is now a practicing attorney in Modesto, California (Spring '07)

Edward and Stacey (Powell) Walker  now have 4 children. Penelope (6), Will (4), Daisy (2), and Amelie (10 mos.) Stacey has recently returned to teaching as a high school English teacher. Eddie has recently become a full time Youth Leader for Cornerstone Community Church in Oceanside, Ca. (Winter '06)
Shannon Olson is currently living in Portland, Oregon with her two wonderful children who are 5 and 9. (Winter '08)

Victor Reynolds writes, "My wife Donisha and I have been married for 9 years and call the great state of Oregon our home. I am a National Strategic Account Manager with the United Parcel Services (UPS). In addition, Donisha and I both have a love for learning: I hold an undergraduate degree in Biblical Studies from Christian Heritage College (San Diego Christian College); Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry (Trinity Theological Seminary), Master of Arts in Organizational Management (University of Phoenix) and Master of Science in Management (Capella University). In addition, I am currently finishing my Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration from Northcentral University with areas of interest in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Distance Learning. My wife has been blessed in completing a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Development (Union Institute and University) and Master of Business Administration (Touro University). Also, she is pursuing a Master of Education from Jones International University. Praise the Lord! (Summer '08)

Suzanne (Bouchillon) McElderry writes, "Good news! My husbund Justin and I welcomed our son, Cael Ranier, on August 26, 2007. He joined big sisters Eliana and Vivian. Justin is still Pastor of Adult Ministries at Cypress Church, and I am a music teacher." (Summer '08)

David Franklin  lives in Vista, CA and has been a business coach and sales trainer for the past six years.  (Fall '07)

(Sheri) Christine (Hale) Stear - Christine and Barry married in Aug 1998 and reside in El Cajon. They have 2 daughters (Haylie, almost 5 and Jayna, 2). Sheri is currently working part time at Heartland Christian Homeschool Center. (Summer '07)

Kristen (House) Hulett writes, "I am living in the Southeast part of Denver, Colorado with my husband Jon. We have been married 5 years now and have two cats. I am back in school for massage therapy and plan on opening my private practice in December of this year. I am looking forward to blessing people in this way. Mitchell A. Johnson is in the process of resuming his graduate studies in counseling and psychology, with a focus in Organizational Psychology.  (Summer '07)

Clark Schwappach writes, "I have been pastoring in central, rural, Illinois for 10 years since graduating (CHC) SDCC in 1997. Now I am on disability and waiting for a liver and kidney transplant, so I am no-longer pastoring full time. I am associate pastor at Arthur Southern Baptist in IL. I am also using this time to complete my MDiv. My wife (Anita) and I celebrated our 25th anniversary last March. Anita is working with "Special Needs" kids and loves it. Many will remember our youngest daughter Heather (so many of you babysat while I had classes). She is now in junior in High School. Our oldest daughter Heidi has just graduated college. She married the guy I picked out for her while we were on a mission trip. She says, "My choice had nothing to do with her choice." Heidi and J.R. (Robert Johnson) have been married since June 2006. I am still waiting to be a Grand Pa; God is good and he has blessed." Find me on Facebook. (Summer '09)

Travis (TJ) Anderson is currently a full time novelist and online author. He is also involved as an instructor/team leader with the SAFE program in Bingen, WA. (Fall '07)

Jeremiah and Wendy (Hoekstra) Atwood moved to Arizona in April of 2002. Jeremiah currently works at the University of Phoenix where he recently graduated with his MBA, and Wendy graduated with her Masters in Special Education. They have a one year old son, Zion, who Wendy says, "keeps us going all day." (Spring '06)

Kiersten (Mancini) Clegg writes, "I have been married for 8 years to my wonderful husband Bruce. We have 3 children (Ian- 4) and twin girls (Aubry and Haley- 2 1/2). Bruce and I both love music and lead worship for our church in Carmel Mt. I stay busy leading bible studies, play groups and homeschooling our 3 preschoolers!"  (Summer '07)

Heather (Hayes) Phillips -  Heather and her husband, Danny, live in Everson, WA, close to where Heather grew up. She is a Pampered Chef Consultant and mother of three children; Dylan 5, Maddi 3, and Justin 1. Her and Danny look forward to doing foster care in early 2008. They are involved in ministry at Nooksack Valley Baptist Church.  (Winter '08)

Kris Johanson writes, "My wife Jessie and I have just welcomed a new baby girl to our family. We are both actively serving in the Marriage and Family group at our church, and I continue to work for a heating and air conditioning company as an engineer."  (Summer '09) 

Joe ('98) and Carrie (McDonald - '00)  Hinrichs - Joe and Carrie have been happily married for 7 years. They have enjoyed traveling through life together with their four children: Jonathan Joseph, Abigail Marie, Thomas James, and Elizabeth Noelle. They enjoy teaching, playing, singing, and laughing indivudially, and as a family. Joe teaches at Literacy First Charter School, and Carrie is delighted to be home with their children. The Hinrichs family live in El Cajon, CA. (Summer '07)

Elizabeth (Johnson) Mathis writes, "I graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in Women's Ministries. David and I got married after my Junior year. We've been married a little more than 11 years now. We have 2 sons and one more child on the way. We live in Murrieta. We attend Sunridge Community Church and are very involved in the music and worship ministry. Everything from singing, to running cameras, and Power Point presentations. David has been working at Qualcomm in San Diego for almost 14 years."  (Summer '08)  Update: "Praise the Lord! We just had our 3rd son. His name is Charles Eastman and he is about 3 months old! Our other two are Andrew David, age 4, and Joseph Kyle, age 2 1/2." (Spring '09)

Neil and Robin (Freeman) Schultz  Serving as Teaching Pastor at Mountain View Bible Church in Alpine, CA (mymvbc.com) and as Chaplain in the Air National Guard. We have four children so far and are loving life discipling and educating them at home.(Fall '11)

Steve and Julie (Zedalis) Somers both graduated from SDCC (CHC) and married soon after graduation. Julie writes, "Steve and I just moved to rural Illinois to be closer to Steve's parents who are living here and Pastoring a small community church. We are expecting our first child at the end of January 2008. We are very excited for this new adventure in our lives." (Fall '07)

Daniel Vardiman - As of Aug 2011, he is still working for the navy and is currently stationed in Tampa Florida with his wife of 7 years and his 5-year-old son. (Summer '11)     

Ingacio Ventura writes, "God has blessed my wife and I (Jennifer Cortez) with 2 wonderful boys. We currently attend North Coast Church in Carlsbad. Our boys are playing pop warner football and will play basketball this fall to begin their journey as future Hawks players! (Summer "11)
