Greg Baird and his wife, Michele, live in Jamul, CA with their sons, Taylor (10), and Garret (8). Greg is founder/director of Kids In Focus Ministries in addition to his role at the church. (Spring '06)

Dan Bell writes, "I started working full-time (January of 1987) at Indian Hills Camp in Jamul just a short 25 minute drive from SDCC. In March of '88 Candace Pickering and I were married. We have four children: Jonathan ('94), Bethany ('95), Samuel ('98), and Sarah ('01). We are currently still at Indian Hills Camp. Both of us are active at Shadow Mountain Community Church, with our kids. I've had the privilege of traveling oversees to Poland and India to assist in building and starting Christian camps through the Global Reach program of Indian Hills. Most recently, Candace and I are on our way to West Bengal, India during the last two weeks of October."  (Fall '07)

Trevor and Beth (Vanderslick) Brown live and work in Hawaii with their three children, Christa (11 yrs), Caleb (8 yrs) and Charis (4 yrs). (Spring '06)

Lynda (Cesare) Robinson is currently a school counselor at Sahuartia High School, and is working on her dissertation toward an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership at The University of Arizona.  Lynda lives with husband, Dave, and two step-sons, Drew (17) and Adam (7), in Sahuarita, AZ, and is active at the Tucson Baptist Temple in Tucson.  (Summer '06)

Verne Elmore writes "Recently I've reached two milestones in life besides graduating from CHC/SDCC. First, I've retired from a 30 year career in the fire department. Second I've obtained an additional degree by recently graduating from Calvary Chapel Bible College. Currently my wife Amy (who is a retired R.N.) and I are seeking the Lord's leading looking at new careers where we can serve Him. The past several summers we have been getting practice by serving at Camp Oro Quay in New Mexico." (Fall '11)

Reggie Haines writes, "I live in Vicenza, Italy with my wife and 17yr old son. I am working as a contractor for a US ARMY Health Center as a healthcare systems specialist. We have been here for about 10 years. While here, I earned a Masters Degree from Bowie State University in Information Systems Management. While in Europe my travels have taken me to several African countries, India, Turkey, and all around Europe." (Summer '08)

John and Sheri (Dennison) Lewis have been living in Nevada for the past 18 years. Sheri writes, "We just celebrated our 20th year in youth ministry this spring. (We met at Christian Heritage and started working together while we were dating, and engaged.) We continue to serve full time at Hilltop Community Church in Carson City. Although God didn't give us any of our own children, we have had thousands over the years!" (Spring '06)

Dawn (Jilderda) Story writes, "Jim and I met at CHC/SDCC our senior year, and were married in 1989. After moving around with Jim's flying career, we landed in Memphis where he's been working with Fedex for 12 years. We have two children, Jimmy (12) and Dana (11). We're busy serving in our church and driving the kids around to their activities. I'm getting my first book published in March 08 called Prisoner of Filmore Street.  (Winter '08)

Ruth (Junek) Wheeler is currently working in mental health group homes, writing a book, and raising 3 teenagers.  (Spring '08)

 

In Remembrance - Adrienne Paluscio ('85-'87) - Loretta Neal (Adrienne's Mom) writes, "My daughter, Adrienne, went home to be with our Lord on 1/2/2005. She suffered terminal cancer. Her "funeral" was instead a "Celebration of Life". She requested everyone wear flip-flops...and we did. She left behind a devoted husband, Sal Paluscio, and daughters Angela (10 yrs) and Christina (8 yrs). Adrienne remained a devoted Christian all her  37 years of life."   (Fall '07)

Rex Ruffin has worked for the County of San Diego Social Services Department since 1994. (Winter '08)

Michael Smith writes, " I am married tomy wife Diane, and now with over 20 years in the Air Force, I am currently assigned to the Defense Intelligence Agency in Washington, DC. With two kids in college (one local, one at SDCC), one HS senior starting community college, and one in 10th grade, we're pretty busy." (Fall '07)

Steve Stover writes, " I am a single dad with three beautiful children: Gianna (12), Jared (9) and Kedric (9). Currently, I am self-employed in San Diego as a Rehabilitation Consultant. Timothy Chambers writes, "I miss SDCC (it was Christian Heritage College when I attended); I still have fond memories of the friends I made during my short time there.  I am married, living in northern Virginia, painting, and learning more about my smallness and God's greatness daily. I have three kids (one married), a great wife, a wonderful church, and I have each day or heaven to look forward to. (Winter '08)

David Chase has been married to his wife Kimberly (Robb) for 11 years and has two children - Brandon (8), and Jenna (6). He is a manager at the regional office of State Farm Insurance in Austin, Texas.  (Winter '07)

Steve and Kelly (Ermie) Crecelius write, "Steve's two businesses, SRC Private Security and Hoopskin, keep him busy, but also allows him to be at home most of the week. We are grateful that both of us are involved in homeschooling our 3 boys - Gideon, Joshua & Caleb." (Fall '08)

Stephen Hoxie is working at the US Army Medical Resarch Institue of Infectious Diseases in Maryland, as an Information Assurance Manager. He is a Sunday School Teacher at Independent Bible Church in Martinsburg, WV.  (Fall '09)

Terry L. Lewis who attended in '87 & '88  is a businessman, law student, and play by play announcer/color analyst in Houston Texas. He played footall and basketball at CHC, is single, and attends Lakewood church in Houston.  (Fall '06)

Shereen (McMullin) Johnston -  click to enlargeShereen (McMullin) Johnston writes, "I am a stay-at-home Mom with two sons ages ten and almost nine. I have been a professional seamstress since graduation and have specialized in Reproduction of Historic clothing (Victorian Era) for twenty of those years. I now take in sewing at home. I graduated with a BS in Home Ec."  (Winter '11)

Greg Mizel - (Student Body President in '87/'88) is currently serving as a public high school principal at Del Norte High School in San Diego, CA. His wife, Shannon (Hower) Mizel is a stay-at-home mom to their 7 children. (Summer '09)

Robert Overlie who attended from '88 to '91 is now working at Grossmont College as a lead tutor in the computer lab/techmall. (Fall '07)

Todd  Payne works as a Software Solution Developer at Northshore Utility District in the Seattle area. (Winter '08)

Maureen (Smith) Katase writes, "I lived in Mexico for the last 15 years but now my family and I are living in San Diego. I am a Graphic Designer, married to a wonderful husband for 10 years, mom of two boys (Seth, 7, and Ian, 4), and expecting another baby boy (Kyle) in February. (Winter '08)

Erick Anderson writes, "Currently, I am working on a Master's Degree in Missiology from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary and serving part-time as English Pastor in Mandarin Baptist Church of Glory in La Puente (Los Angeles), CA. My wife, Grace, is working as a full-time Chinese language teacher teaching 5 days a week and 6 classes per day at Peninsula High School." (Spring '11) 
 

 Melissa (Ansiel) Anderson is married to Linden Anderson and writes, "I am currently doing what I always wanted to do. I've been married almost seventeen years and I homeschool my three children, Lincoln (13), Reagan (11), and Liberty (4)." (Fall '07)

Rich Burt  is starting his 13th year as a Communications Systems Analyst with the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District in Fresno.  He has many interestests with his wife and family.  (Fall '07)

Larry Cummins writes, "I spent 9 years in U.S. Navy and then 12 years as a public school teacher. I am currently home teaching my two sons. Lois spent several years raising our three children and then began teaching in the public school last year." (Spring '10)

Scott and Karen (Vail '87) Johnson live in Tampa, Florida and are active in First Baptist Church of Brandon. They have 2 children Jessie Lynn (13) and Ryan (11). (Spring '06)
