Assistant Professor of Kinesiology/Rehabilitation Science

San Diego Christian College (SDCC) seeks a qualified Physical Therapist (DPT or MPT) to teach and oversee the new rehabilitation and pre-physical therapy curriculum. The Department of Kinesiology is in the process of a curricular revision that will culminate in a new degree BS in Rehabilitation Science, as well as the probable implementation of a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) emphasis which will be offered in conjunction with the BS in Rehabilitation Science. The new faculty member will develop and implement this curriculum in addition to teaching existing courses in this area.

The faculty appointment is 100% full time in academics and the individual hired will have the opportunity to seek additional employment if so desired. Clinical internships are vital to instruction. The individual hired will be expected to develop relationships with clinics and related health care organizations.

SDCC is moving to a new campus in January 2014, which will enable faculty to "open" a new campus and expand our tradition of academic excellence and Christian leadership. The new campus is in the city of Santee, about 25 minutes from San Diego's beautiful beaches.  Our weather tends to be sunny and warm which provides a plethora of outdoor activities from surfing to sailing, hiking to fishing, and some of the best sunsets on earth. Please review the college's web site at sdcc.edu to determine if SDCC is a good fit for you.
