Position Summary:
As part of this overarching mission, we are looking for a driven Head Athletic Trainer who will represent San Diego
Christian College
in a Christ-like and professional manner at all times while furthering the
growth of the student-athlete and Athletic Department. The Athletic Trainer is
expected to provide leadership necessary to achieve a successful athletic
program, ensure compliance to all governing authorities, and establish a strong
and positive presence at the local, regional, and national levels.
The Head Athletic Trainer works under
the direction of the Director of Athletics and is responsible for the health
and welfare of all student-athletes competing in college athletics.
Candidate’s Qualifications:
- Possesses
a degree in Sports Medicine or Kinesiology. Master’s degree required.
- Certified by the National Athletic Traininers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC)
- Possesses
certification of First-Aid and CPR through the American Red Cross.
- Possesses
demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Possesses
excellent relationship and communication skills.
- Possesses
strong organization skills.
