For the second time this season, SDC’s Brittany Daniel has been named NCCAA Student Athlete of the Week for January 23-39 for her performance in wins over Biola University and The Master’s College. Daniel also won the award in November.
Daniel, junior guard for San Diego, averaged 22 points, 7 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 1.5 assists, and 1 block per game last week. In a 56-50 win over Biola, Daniel scored 19 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. In a 62-61 win over The Master's College (CA), Daniel scored 25 points and hauled in 5 rebounds.
For the season, Daniel is currently averaging 19.1 points per game and 7.1 rebounds per game and is averaging 20.8 ppg and 7.3 rpg in against GSAC completion.
The Lady Hawks are currently 16-7 on the season, which marks the best start in program history.
