El Cajon, CA--One day after knocking off Hannibal-LeGrange University and
taking #15 Cal State San Marcos to the limit, the San Diego Christian College
volleyball team was looking to build off of that momentum against the visiting
Mustangs of The Master’s College. The Hawks, however, could not utilize on the previous
day’s energy and TMC swept the hosts 25-11, 25-12, 25-18.
The loss sends SDCC to 6-22 and 0-12 in the GSAC.TMC moves
to 17-10 and 5-7 in the GSAC.
The first two games were controlled by TMC, with the
Mustangs posting a .500 attack percentage in game one and a .708 attack
percentage in game two.
The third games saw SDCC fight to get back in the game late,
when Stephanie Rice began to serve with the score in favor of TMC at 23-15. The
Hawks went on a 5-0 run and it looked like SDCC would be able to pull within
striking distance. It was too late, however, and TMC took the final two points
to take the match.
SDCC heads to Concordia on Tuesday, October 25th
for a 7:00pm match.
