Costa Mesa, Calif. --The San Diego Christian College volleyball team fell at the hands of the #17 rated team in the NAIA, the Vanguard Lions, on Tuesday night 25-15, 25-18, 25-17.

The Lions (11-6, 1-2) played nearly flawless as their attack percentage was .385 in the first game, followed by .310 in the second, and .406 in the final game.

Rachel Allen and Lauren Howard each had eight kills for SDCC (5-11, 0-3), while Cassidy Mertens had 16 assists. Chelsea Rose led the team with seven digs.

The Hawks continue their season Saturday, September 24th at The Master’s College.
