San Marcos, Calif. -- Cal State San Marcos (29-17) blanked San Diego Chrisitian College (6-36) through the first six innings of their fifth meeting of the season, scoring thirteen on their way to the 13-4 win.

Senior outfielder Greg Joseph (2-3, R, RBI) and senior Dominic Neocoechea (1-3, R, RBI) both went yard in the ninth for two of the Hawks three runs. Sohpomore Nick Bando (.364) hit two doubles on his way to going 3-for-3 on the day.

CSUSM scored their first in the second inning, later having two big innings that accounted for 12 of their 18 total hits. Junior Joey Schumer took the loss for SDC in four and a third innings giving up seven hits and five runs, with only three of them being earned. Johnny Omahen (6-1) lasted a full five scoreless innings, giving up three hits and strking out four.

The Hawks host Fresno Pacific University on Wednesday (Apr. 27) at 11:00am for their final home game of the 2011 season.
