Irvine, Calif. -- San Diego Christian (5-27, 3-22 GSAC) has yet to find their fourth GSAC win, falling in both games on Wednesday afternoon, 9-0 and 5-4 to the Concordia University (25-16, 15-14 GSAC) Eagles.

Game two held a majority of the Hawks action where they out hit the Eagles 11-10 with senior Trevor Bloom, batting .365, went 3-for-4, with an RBI and a run scored and Junior Sean Sweeney went 2-for-3 also scoring a run helping put the Hawks up through the early innings.

Sophomore starter Nick Bando held the Eagles to three runs on six hits in five and a third innings, coming out of the game with a 4-3 lead. The Concordia seventh kicked off with a single and the games only triple, tying the game at 4. A wild pitch brought the Eagles fifth run across, a run that would be uncontested by SDC through the next two innings.

Jake Hovis got the win in relief for CUI, holding SDC runless on two hits in two and a third while Ryan Day recorded his fifth save. Kevin Keefe (0-3) was tagged with the loss, giving up the two runs in the 7th on three hits, striking out two.

The Hawks were stunned in game one, 9-0, collecting only 4 hits through 9 innings. CUI on the other hand, produced 9 runs on 9 hits, with the Hawks 8 walks and three errors hardly coming into play. Dylan Jones (0-3) went five and two-thirds, walking six with one strike out. Jordan Hartley was solid for CUI, completing the game with one walk, facing 32 batters.

Concordia comes to Stars Field on Saturday to wrap up the four game series starting at 12:00pm.
