] Riverside, Calif. --
San Diego Christian (5-20, 3-15 GSAC) wrapped up the four game series in Riverside on Saturday afternoon against the No. 9 California Baptist University (30-9, 17-7 GSAC) Lancers, falling 15-9 and 5-1.
San Diego Christian started out game three with a five run inning with two of its five RBIs coming from senior catcher Chad Inderwiesche who went 2-3 with 3 RBIs in that game. After a great first, the Hawks would post another in the third on an error and two in the fifth on three hits to take a 8-2 lead.
From there, the Hawks offensive presence was slowed while CBU's run generation took off behind 14 total hits. The Lancers would score four in the sixth and seventh and five in the eighth off of six pitchers from the Hawks staff for the win.
Brock Heerdt (0-6) took the loss for SDC as the fourth pitcher after starter Adair Robles went five and a third giving up 2 runs on one hit. Robles walked five and struck out two. Jon Bengard (1-0) came in for CBU in the fifth to get the win for the Lancers.
Game two was silent for SDC until the 7th inning, where they scored one, but it wasn't enough to overcome the five runs CBU had accumulated off of starter Dylan Jones who went 6, giving up 8 hits and five runs, with one strikeout.
Inderwiesche was credited with the Hawks lone run in the second game, going 3-for-4 with 4 RBI's on the day. CBU's Devyn Rivera (6-1) took the win, giving up one run on six hits. He struck out six of the 27 batters he faced.
