El Cajon, Calif.--SDCC’s Adair Robles (pictured left) has been named GSAC Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 25th for his performance against #17 Fresno Pacific.
Robles, a senior from Mexico City, threw 8 scoreless innings in a 3-0 victory over the Sunbirds on March 24th. Robles surrendered just 3 hits and 3 walks while striking out 6 batters in the victory. Robles, now 4-4 on the season, has struck out 52 hitters in 57.1 innings this season and holds a 2.83 ERA.
Robles is the first SDCC baseball player ever to be named GSAC pitcher of the week.
The Hawks are 14-20 overall and 9-11 in the GSAC.
