(Cross Country, M Soccer, W Soccer, Awards) Permanent linkMon., Nov. 16, 2010 Azusa, Calif. -- On Monday, the Golden State Athletic Conerence Scholar-Athlete award listing was released. A total of 80 GSAC student-athletes were named from the 10 conference schools for the 2011 fall sports of men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer and volleyball. The athletes listed must have been a junior or senior in standing and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above. The athletes from San Diego Christian College are listed below.

women’s cross country team concluded their season on Saturday at the GSAC
championship in Fresno.
The team completed the season with a 7th place finish overall,
ending a successful campaign for second year head coach Rufus Schneider.
“We were pleased with the way we ran today,” said Schneider.
“We ran the fastest race we have ever run on that course.”
“The girls stepped up and performed well.”
Joella Silvera led SDCC with a 28th place finish
overall, ending with a time of 19:20. Right behind Silvea was Jacklyn Lowry (pictured left) at
19:34 and 31st overall.
Next for the Hawks was Katarina Medici, 39th
overall and posting a 20:26. Adrienne Graham crossed the line next in a time of
20:50 and 39th overall. Rounding out the Hawk runners were Jackie
Flores (58th, 23:04), Allison Rowe (59th, 23:56) and
Katelyn Neverkovek (61st, 25:24).
For the SDCC men, Jeremiah Ninteman finished the 8k with a
time of 32:34.
“The GSAC is such a great conference for cross country,”
added Schneider. “While we felt we could have run better, we realize that the
competition in this conference is superior to what we see most of the year.”

La Mirada, CA--As the season has started to wind down, the San
Diego Christian College cross country team has heated up. The progression
continued on Saturday, as the Hawks ran at the Biola Invite, finishing fifth
overall.
SDCC was led by Jackie Lowry, coming in at
19:30 and finishing 16th overall. Joella Silvera was close behind,
finishing 26th overall with a time of 20:13. Katarina Medici was
next for the Hawks, finishing 30th with a time of 20:47 while
Adrienne Graham finished 37th at 21:27. Jackie Flores (61st),
Allison Rowe (64th), and Katelyn Neverkovek (65th) round
out the fifth place finish.
SDCC’s lone male runner was Jeremiah Ninteman,
who finished at 33:56.
SDCC continues their season with their final race before the conference finals on Saturday, October 29th at The Cuyamaca Ride'n Tide. (Cross Country) Permanent linkSat., Oct. 15, 2011[ Men's Results][ Women's Results] San Marcos, CA--The San Diego Christian College cross country team continued to build momentum on Saturday, running in the Cougar Classic host by Cal State San Marcos. As the season is nearing its close with two races left before conference championships, the Hawks improved yet again, finishing 6th overall. All runners posted their best times of the season.
Jackilyn Lowry led the Hawks with a 22nd place finish overall, pulling in with a time of 19:04. Joella Silvera finished just behind Lowry, coming in 27th place at 19:14.
Katarina Medici was next for SDCC, finishing 41st overall at 20:10, followed by Adrienne Graham at 20:42 (51st overall), Jackie Flores at 23:49 (78th) Allison Rowe at 24:22 (79th), and Katelyn Neverkovec at 25:40 (83rd).
The single men’s runner was Jeremiah Ninteman who came in at 33:29 in the 8k, for a finish of 74th.
The Hawks will run again Saturday, October 22nd at the Biola Invite. (Cross Country) Permanent linkSat., Sep. 17, 2011[ Women's Results][ Men's Results] Santa Barbara, CA--The San Diego Christian College Women’s cross country team competed at the Westmont College Invitational and completed their highest finish of the year, finishing second with 44 points in the 5k, only behind the host Warriors.
The Hawks were anchored by Jacki Lowry, Joella Silvera, Katarina Medici, and Adrienne Graham who all finshed in the top 10. Lowry finished 3rd overall with a time of 20:28. Silvera was right behind in 4th at 20:44 and Medici came in 6th at 21:22, while Graham rounded out the top 10 finishers.
The remaining runners that contributed to the 2nd place finish were Jackie Flores at 25:13, Allison Rowe at 26:03, and Katelyn Neverkovec.
The lone member of the men’s team, Jeremiah Ninteman, running unattached, finished with a time of 37:23 in the 8k. (Cross Country) Permanent link Sat., Sep. 10, 2011[Results] Irvine, CA--The San Diego Christian College Hawks Cross Country team competed at Asics/University of California Irvine Invitational on Saturday and finished with an 8th place finish.
Leading the way for the Hawks in the 5k was Jacki Lowry (pictured left) who finished with a time of 20:04 and in 52st place. Close behind was Joella Silvera, in 61st place, with a time of 20:22 and Katarina Medici with a time of 21:07.
Rounding out the Hawk runners were Adrienne Graham (21:38), Allison Rowe (24:57), Jackie Flores (24:57), and Katelyn Neverkovec(26:48).
The Hawks run next week at Westmont College in Santa Barbara.
(Cross Country) Permanent linkSat., Sep. 3, 2011[ Results] Fullerton, CA--The San Diego Christian College Women’s Cross Country team competed in the Asics Fullerton Open hosted by CSU Fullerton at the Carbon Canyon Regional Park Saturday and had a strong showing against top tier runners.
The Hawks were led by Senior Jacki Lowry who registered a time of 24:56 in the 6k and came in with a finish of 76th place. Joella Silvera (25:12, 90th), Katarina Medici (25:46 112th) and Adrienne Graham (26:41, 149th) were not far behind.
Rounding out SDCC’s runners were Allison Rowe (31:21), Jackie Flores (32:24) and Katelyn Neverkovek (33:28).
The meet was won by Loyola Marymount University who produced the five of the top twelve runners in the competition.
The SDCC Cross Country team will be running again Saturday, September 10th at the UC Irvine Invitational.
